Krazy for Kardashian!

Dear world,

How are you lovelies?! Happy Halloween!

At the moment, I'm krazy....krazy for what else? The Kardashians! More exactly, Kardashian Kolor, the new line of colors from Nicole by OPI! DEAD!

The line consists of a few colors cutely named (Sealed with a Kris, Khlo had a little Lam Lam, All Kendall-ed Up, Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi, Rainbow in the S-kylie, Kim-pletely in Love, & so many more!) from each Kardashian female-Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kris, Kendall, & Kylie!

Get a little bit of Kardashian glamour for your nails! I seriously died when I found these polishes at Walmart! 8 dollars a bottle!

At the moment, I have on the the second color on the top row (light pink), called "Kim-pletely in love"

I love the color, it's the perfect ballerina pink!

(My only complaint; the polish is very thin, and that's probably because of the pink color, & I had to put on like five layers to get a solid color, but for a more subdued shimmer, a coat or two will be fine!)

My next choice to buy would have to be the Slate gray from Kris's colors. Uber fab.

What are you waiting for? You can be like a Kardashian! Note that I find all of these ladies to be so freaking fabulous...

Also, I'm sending my love to Kim Kardashian, she filed for divorce this morning... ):

I want to be a Kardashian, so frickin bad...!

It's an obsession really,

Wedding Bells

Dear gorgeous,

I'm obsessed.

I'm obsessed with the fact that I'm so obsessed.

It's done. I'm completely and utterly sound in the decision I made and about to share with you...

I'm getting married in the dress below.

Alexander McQueen, Fall 2011.

Try not to stop breathing.

Seriously.

This is perfection.

Just, wow.

I'm speechless...and that's a rarity.

Now, this dress probably costs more than my actual life, but it's worth it. I'm not even joking.

Do you see that beading? And that tulle? And that neckline & silhouette...gorg-wahh.

So, I have my wedding dress picked out...now I need a man!

Miss Matched.

Heidi.
I thought this title was very creative for this post.

This is exactly how you mix shapes, patterns, and colors. Go with a neutral base, with a fun texture like that creamy white dress above with fun circles. Then go with an accessory, in this case a fab clutch, that is also a neutral (make sure it is a different neutral) with a contrasting pattern. Then for the rest of your accesories, pick a color pallete and stick to it. You might do 'cool' jewel tones like colbalt, emerald, and fuscia, or 'warm' earthy colors like sunflower yellow, pumpkin orange, and ruby red.

Cheers to that.

Now of course, you can always go more daring with different prints and such, but for those who aren't quite ready for such boldness, take some baby steps.

It's an obsession really,

xoxo. Rachel.

Birkin Baby

Oh Birkin bags...you little glorious leather luxury that I'm obsessing over...sigh, too bad you cost more than a car...

Sadly, I'm under the Birkin curse...I'm convinced that one day I will be able to shell out 20,000 dollars to buy one of these babies...now, I might become poor and homeless after, due to the fact that I'm probably going to spend all of my money on clothes and shoes and jewelry and some more shoes and this fabulous purse in tan (neutrals go with everything sweetie!)...but, hey, I'll be the best dressed hobo around for sure...that's something I can look forward to right? Or is that sad?

Oh Hermes, what have you done to me?

Birkin bags...sigh, my true love...

I'm starting to realize how insane I sound, but now you have to understand how much fashion does to me. Little necklaces, shoes, and especially Birkin bags make me the happiest girl in the world.

Some may say it's materialistic, but I say they just haven't seen Chanel, Dior, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent creations through my eyes.

It's an obsession really,

xoxo. Rachel ♥

Have You Heard?

Amber Heard (18)
Amber Heard at The Rum Diary Premiere
Hello Lovelies!

It's Friday, hooray for that. I for one am extremely ready for this weekend. Hello sleeping in, I've missed you...

Anyways, the topic of today's post is Amber Heard.

Last night, she attended her premiere for her new movie, The Rum Diary co-starring with Johnny Depp, and she look absolutely gorg-e-ous.

I'm going to be honest with you, I have never heard of Miss Heard before (considering I live in a box) but as soon as I saw this picture of her at this premiere I know for a fact she's one to watch. Thanks to the wonderful world of the internet, I discovered Amber is an actress and a model, starring in a wide range of movies from Pineapple Express to Stepbrothers.

Considering these photos came out only hours ago, I cannot find who made her dress yet, but let me tell you; whoever did is a frickin' genius.

I'm in love with this dress. The draping is to die for. Literally. Like...it's so glam.

I love the styling too, with the pulled back hair and nude heels (that make your legs look insanely long!) it looks absolutely beautiful.

If this isn't voted Best Dressed on this week's installment of E!'s Fashion Police I will go clinically insane.

In the mean time...anyone want to buy me this dress?

It's an infatuation really,
xoxo. Rachel ♥

Single Ladies

Boyfriend Trend

Hello Lovelies,

I'm literally dying over the obsession I'm presenting you today...why? Because it combines my two favorite things; clothes & boys.

Yes, I'm a typical teenage girl. Sue me. Don't hate-appreciate. (;

So what faboulous trend could comine boys & clothes?! The Boyfriend Trend. Hooray for that! It's the comfort of wearing your boyfriend's clothes in luxe fabrics & shades made perfectly for us ladies!

Now, as I am fully aware of...trust me... not all of us have a boy toy we can steal clothes from...ye
s Ryan Gosling, I am availible...but you can totally fake it till you make it with this trend! Thank goodness for that.

So here's how to get a little testosterone into your closet...& no crazy love affairs involved.

Boyfriend Jeans-distressed, casual, cozy...sigh...
Jennifer Aniston

When I think of boyfriend jeans, the first celebrity that pops into my head is Jennifer Anniston. Effortlessly cool, she pairs these relazed jeans with a simple tee, wedges, and a fedora.

Here's my spin on things: with boyfriend jeans, I suggest never going uber baggy with your tops. Since boyfriend jeans are looser than your average skinnys, try going with something a little slimmmer up on top, like a flowy tank, with the front tucked in...gorg. For me, these jeans need some adorable
& fun, yet simple shoes. Try oxfords for a more casual look, but ankle booties for a glam-er look.

Selena Gomez

Boyfriend Cardigans-long, cozy, so so chic.

In my opinion, everyone looks good in a cardigan because they come in so many shapes and sizes. I adore boyfriend cardigans because they're longer than a regular cardigan and can just add a certain casual-ness to a look.
To continue with some celeb-spiration like I did with boyfriend jeans...so here it is; Selena Gomez. She has clothes that I would literally to die for, including this cardi. Lucky girl, she has the boyfriend cardigan and the boyfriend...yes, I had to include that comment (:
How I would style the boyfriend cardigan is simple...go short. I love how chic a boyfriend cardi can look with a mini dress or tees and shorts. Just make sure that you can tell you're wearing pants from behind...there's a general rule you can follow-allow an inch to be between the bottom of your cardigan and your dress/skirt. As for shorts like cut-offs or high waisters, "scrunch" your cardi up in the back to get that, 'oh I just sat down' look, so you can see your short bottoms.

Of course, there's also oversized men's shirts than can be cinched at the waist with a skinny belt for a shirtdress look. Just please, for the sake of your class, make sure the shirt is a resonable length & it doesn't look like you forgot pants.

Don't forget boyfriend touches the next time you're getting dressed!

New Kind of Retro.

Dear Readers,

Not gonna lie, I wish I had a time machine. Why? So I could go back to the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, & 80s to shop & by pieces that are vintage today for cheaper prices... & unworn. Sorry, but I have this pet peeve of sharing shoes & earrings...

Anyways, this is my take on the 80s & 70s wrapped into one with a modern twist. Not gonna lie, I kind of die for it.

Sorry for my Zoe-isms, I was watching The Rachel Zoe Project today & now I'm even more obsessed with fur & her phrases.

Dollface

Hypnose Doll Lash Entry.

Another Polyvore contest entry, but I am truly obsessing over this doll look. It's a modern twist on being a barbie without an obnoxiously orange spray tan & bleached blonde hair. Winning? I think yes. To show off your inner doll, try an oversized bow collar in a luxe fabric like velvet & over the knee socks with mary-jane heels.

Keep on looking beautiful Dollface,

xoxo. Rachel. ♥

BA-NAN-AS

Bonjour!

I'm back lovelies, & I'm not dead! Cheers to that! Anywhooo, I'd thought I'd do quick obsession of mine;

The Rachel Zoe Report. I die.

Literally, besides her being one of my favorite people EVER, I get her "The Rachel Zoe Report" sent to my email everyday & it is a MUST for any fashion lover. Literally.

So besides Rachel Zoe making me fall in love with fur ga-lore, making me say things like "I die" & "bananas", & providing me with the best show ever, I get her daily posts sent to me daily; insane.

I feel honored to share the name Rachel... (:

& P.S. The Rachel Zoe Report is free to sign up for! Bananas! REALLY!

C-c-cold!

Hello lovelies,

Can I just say it's absolutely FREEZING outside & on a side note...EW, A BUG WAS JUST CRAWLING ON ME... anyways, I'm off to the hospital today for surgery, so this means I may or may not have to take a leave of absence from blogging, tear tear, I know.

So I thought I'd give you the obsession that is at the top of my shopping list...PEA COATS!

Hooray for that. I love pea coats as my go-to winter jacket, I think they're so much more chic than a regular puffer jacket; and when it comes to me, I like to go crazy with my coats (:

My first ever pea coat I owned was a few years back; it was a longer trench style red pea coat from J-Crew.

Last year, I bought a white military-style pea coat from Kohls that I adore.

This year, I have my eye on this green pea coat below from Old Navy. Why? 1) It's so CUTEEE!
2) It's cheaper than getting a fancy coat.

Plus, I get my white coat dirty easily...

I love getting colored pea coats rather than a straight black one because I get REALLY pale in the winter, & these make me look less-pale. SCORE.

Hope you stay nice & toasty during this chilly time!

Maybe you can buy a pea coat? (;

It's an infatuation really,

Chanel <33

For me, Chanel is Chanel-there is nothing that can ever compare to this great legacy & brand. So today I'd like to share you my biggest obsession...well I'll get to my Chanel obsession in a later post, so this is a sub-obsession...

CHANEL QUILTED BAGS

Particularly, the jumbo quilted gold chain strap amazing-ness they call a purse.

If I had the money to buy one, considering these babies are in the 1,000s, I would. No doubt about it. That's how obsessed I am.

I just loved this purse so much.

It's an infatuation really,
xoxo. Rachel <3

P.S. Chanel is SUCH a legend, even auto-correct knew the difference from channel & Chanel. <33

J'adore Autumne -- I love Autumn

Carrie.

Bonjour ma belle amies!

Oui? How are you today? Are you well? Or have you sunk into a deep depression due to this cold rainy Monday weather? Wahhh, I know :.(

But, I'm here to cheer you up the best way I know how; with my OBSESSIONS!

Cheers to that!

Above is my obsess worthy outfit I just made on polyvore, & guurrrl, let me tell you, I think every little piece is so fab!

Maxi Skirts.
We've gone over this plenty of times, but I absolutely adore these floor grazing skirts. They're so chic, and although their 'instant tall' properties seem to fail on me for some strange unknown reason, I will still forever love & obsess over these babies. It's call dedication-wait no, maxification.

Leopard Print.
If you don't know that me to leopard print is the same as a druggie to cocaine then you obviously don't live on Earth. Leopard print is my boo. Yes, I said it, I'm in love with leopard print. GET AT ME.

Collared Shirts.
If you don't own one, I suggest you buy one. They're so classic so you know they will not be going anywhere soon. The whole tucking one tail into a maxi skirt gives off that "Oh hi there, I just rolled out of bed and threw this on. I look cute? Yeah, I know." vibe. Yes, shirts can say that much.

Boots.
I'm a boot lover. Short, high, heeled, flat, leather, suede, I love 'em all. Today I actually was walking down the stairs at school & said to my friend, "OMG, her boots are so cute!" ...What? They were adorable! My current obsession is light brown leather flat tall riding boots. I'm on the constant hunt for the PERFECT pair...I'm obsessive...I know...

Satchels.
Buy one. I'm serious, they look so cute hooked in the crook of your arm, swinging in your hands as you walk down the street as your confident self, slinged across your body in such a casual way with the crossbody strapp, or simply just sitting on your shoulder. I love them, especially in neutrals...THEY GO WITH EVERYTHING.

Gold.
Usually, I'm more of a silver girl, but lately I've gotten more and more obsessive over gold. Gold can add luxury and glamour to any outfit & it also exudes a warmth to a look that silver just can't compare to. Gold is great with boho looks and makes it look so chic.

Another obsession I have that isn't shown in the picture above, is how I suggest you wear your hair if you are so lucky enough to buy this outfit or get one like it...a top knot. You know, those cute little buns that are so casual and chic at the same time? If you aren't sure on how to make one, go on youtube and search "top knot hair tutorial" trust me, you'll find many amazing & helpful videos.

I hope that this post has helped you get rid of your Monday woes...I know it has for me. Yeah, Fashion does that to people.

It's an obsession really,
xoxo. Rachel ♥

Sunnies!

Dear fabulous readers,
Have you ever had those days when you have absolutely NO time to put on makeup? Are you running out the door convinced you look like Shrek (which you probably don't) & left to be in a grumpy mood the whole day? Well no need to fear! Sunnies are here!

Sunglasses, AKA Sunnies, can be absolute lifesavers when you don't have time to do your makeup, or are the perfect accessory for any outfit!

It's no doubt I have a thing for sunglasses, (I go to a store where I can get absolutely fab pairs for $12 each), and for me; THE BIGGER THE BETTER.

When it comes to sunglasses, you've got the aviator style (...oh hello there officer...), wayfarer (...oh hi there miss classic), cat-eye (...vintage views? j'adore!...), & oversized (...oh hi miss glamazon superstar...). Of course there are many other kind out there, like square shaped lenses for example, but the ones I listed above are my top styles.

You can tell a lot about a person buy their sunglasses, are they eccentric? Are they classic? Are they oh-so-chic? Sunglasses can tell you so much.

As for me, my person faves at the moment are oversized & a bit cat-eyed. I have this weird thing about still seeing my eyebrows while wearing sunglasses, so the bigger the frame the better!

Below are Chloé sunglasses that I think are adorable!

My number 1 tip when buying sunglasses: GO NEUTRAL!

If the Sunnies you're purchasing are more of an investment, go with neutral colors like black or browns so that they will be able to go with more outfits, & have a longer lifespan. But don't get me wrong, I do own a pair of leopard wayfarers after all, if you happen to find an adorable pair of aviators in a wine color that is uber trendy at the moment & you adore them, go for the buy if they're affordable! Or maybe if you absolutely love them buy them in a trendy color & a neutral! Fashion trends like the repeat themselves...

So go put them sunnies on & work it!

It's an obsession really,
xoxo. Rachel <3
