Leg up on the competition...

Courtesy of Looklet.com
Hello beautiful readers, how are you this fantastic Friday? With the days getting colder, I was inspired to share with you one of my obsessions that can totally be a miracle worker if you feel like you're getting into a "all-I-wear-is-skinny-jeans" rut. LEATHER LEGGINGS. No need to fear, leather leggings are so much easier to wear thank you think!

Since leather leggings are tight & edgy, I suggest pairing them with something flowy and neutral, and long. LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS. So if I ever see you walking around with a crop top and leggings, I will have to call the fashion police because you'll be assaulting my eyes. The same goes with under the knee dresses and leggings...too much bulk. Never, ever, EVER pair leather with leather-unless you're a hardcore motorcyclist & leather is the only fabric you know... Also, layer your leggings! Try a boyfriend cardigan or blazer over them! I love leather leggings!

It's an obsession really,

Lauren Conrad

One of my biggest role models in my life is Lauren Conrad. Honestly, she is so successful and pretty & I wish I could be her. She's a good role model too, even though her reality TV past might cause you to think differently. She's extremely successful, with two fashion lines that I ADORE, websites that I obsess over, & books that I cannot put down, she's everything I want to be.

I admire her so much. That's why Lauren Conrad is my role model.

Is she your role model too? Who's yours?

A PENNY for your thoughts?

Oh, hi there. How are you? Are you good? I'm good. I'm fantastic actually, I'm in the best mood ever. If you know anything about me, you know the one thing that can make me instantly happy is one thing & one thing only; SHOES!

Flat, tall, round, small, high, low, I honestly love all type of shoes. My latest obsession concerning shoes?

Penny loafers.

No, not your grandmother's clunky flats, the reinvented sleek high heel.

Cheers to retro shoes!

Theyre one of my fall obsessions, and why wouldn't they be; they're SO CUTE. I'm in love with how the minimalism & 60s trends are coming back...

On the side of this page, above the blog views gadget (by the way, it's over 200! oh my gosh thank you!) is a fall obsession poll. What's YOUR fave fall obsession? Is it the topic of this wonderful post-high heeled penny loafers? Or are you a leopard kind of person? Or maybe you die for (faux) fur vests!

I think I die for them all...

FUR-eal.

FUReal.

I'm obsessed with (faux) fur vests.

I blame Rachel Zoe-I spent an entire day watching reruns of The Rachel Zoe Project & now I'm obsessed with these little bundles of joy...oh my...I'm so obsessed. Don't they look so cozy & cute? You have to admit how adorable these babies would look layered over a pretty cream blouse, with billowy long sleeves, tucked into high waisted leather shorts...

They're so glam & so boho, it's so chic.

I think I'm in love.

It's an obsession really.

Y'all are very very lucky today; you're all getting a 2 for the price of 1 deal today! Two obsessions in one blog post! Hooray, hooray!

Obsession number one: Cowboy boots and maxi dresses. I'm absolutely in love with how the tough feel of cowboy boots and the boho feel of maxi dresses mix and feel uber girly. I would so wear this obsession nonstop if maxi dresses didn't make me look even shorter than I am...which is weird since they're supposed to make you look tall...but anways...

Obsession number two: Chunky sweaters over EVERYTHING. Chunky sweaters are fab, and so casual and chic. Throw them over skinny jeans & say goodbye to bumming it days, because you get all the comfort of a hoodie, but the cuteness of this sweater. Going back to my first obsession I shared about maxi dresses and cowboy boots, I think you can easily mix in an oversized chunky sweater in there-just be careful it's not too oversized or you'll be swallowed up by pool of fabric.

Messy bun, natural makeup, a few small chain necklaces layered with small pendants, a chunky sweater drooping off of one shoulder, boho maxi dress billowing out, and roughed up cowboy boots peeping out underneath it all...soooooooooo chic & I can sooooo see it as a fashion story...oh the stylist moments I have....

It's an obsession really,

The Glam Life.

Annabella.

Excuse me while I blog to you a few lyrics from a fitting song for this post...

"I WANNA BE A BILLIONAIRE, SO FRICKING BAD!"

I do. I really do. But I've accepted that when I grow older I will be broke because I will spend all my money on clothes.

And so, I'm left to lust after the life of billionaires.

If I was rich, I'd by the outfit above.

Honestly, If I had the money I would by the outfit above.

It's so cute in my opinion, I love how the loose-ness of the v-neck over the sequined bustier is casually  half tucked into the sheer maxi skirt, with a fun leopard vest over top. Add some booties, sunnies, a big bangle, a cocktail ring, a cross-body bag, and a watch that's to die for, and you got the glam life.

Or my "effort-lessly cool" glam life.

It's a life worth to lust over. Am I right?

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy me that outfit, & trust me; I'd be the happiest girl in the world.

It's an obsession really.

All that glitters...

Dear beautiful readers,

As I have in my bio located on the left side of this super blog, I am a Glitter Enthusiast. Really, I love glitter like Romeo loves Juliet... and so, I decided to share my obsession with glitter in a fun way, nail polish!

At the moment, I have Wet n Wild Wild Shine Kaleidoscope on my nails & I'm in love. It's a dream come true.

Some layer glitter nail polish over colors, but as for me I'm a straight forward kind of girl; natural nails+four coats of glitter nail polish=total glitter nails.

Glitter; I love you.

It's an obsession really.

Bye-bye stripper style...

Hello lovely readers,

New obsession that I'm bringing you today; leather mini skirts.

No, I'm not talking about the hoochy skirts that um..."entertainers" wear, I'm saying get ready to indulge in the luxe buttery brown world of modern leather skirts.

Yay! I love these skirts, I think they're so adorable especially if you pair them with an oversized v-neck & a fur vest.

Au Revoir Summer...

Tear, tear. Tomorrow marks the first day of fall & it's a sad goodbye to summer & a cheerful welcome to fall.

But at last, I'm sharing with you my final style of summer that I was completely in love with...

I love sheer collared tops, those adorable corsets, & decorative denim (in this case, flag-emblazoned) shorts.

I so imagine wearing this while walking on the boardwalk, hearing the ocean waves crash, the salty air...sigh.

Dear summer, I will miss you...

If you like it you should of put a ring on it...

Hello darlings, how are you? Are you in an accessories funk? No need to fear, I have the cure!

Cocktail rings! Oh, how I love these big junky rings we wear so proudly on our fingers to make a beautiful statement. I absolutely love how simple accessories can be when you wear a cocktail ring-pretty earrings & that knocker of a knuckle buster is all you need.

I love love love big fat jewel rings, but if your looking for a funky twist, try this cool ring below, or one like it from etsy.com! I love the '&' ring (http://www.etsy.com/listing/76414717/cocktail-ring-ceramic-big-bold-handmade)! So cute!

PUT A RING ON IT!

Dear feet, I apologize for the pain you have to endure...

When it comes to heels, the higher is better in my opinion. Although my toes may hate me because of it, a girl like me loves her some five inch heels. Now, I may not be the most graceful in them; after all how many times does a 15 year old girl walk around in heels? But I'm a sucker for big platformed pumps. (:

Some may say, 'the higher the hair, the closer to God.' I say, the higher the heels, the closer to God.

Below are Louboutin ballet heels.

Oh, the beauty & pain that must come from those marvelous shoes...

BOOT-ti-ful!

Cheerio!

How are you lovelies? As summer is fading away, and the weather is getting ever so chillier, I'm saying a tearful goodbye to my sandals and flip-flops, due to not wanting my toes to freeze and fall off. But what is a girl supposed to do? I can't possibly wear my furry boots EVERYDAY... first off, they're not very fashion-forward...second, they can't go with every single one of my outfits; tear tear.

SAY HELLO TO BOOTS BABY.

Obvious, boots have been around FOREVER, but I believe this is the season to be BOOT-ti-ful with your boots.

Combat, cowboy, riding, ankle, over the knee-the list goes on and on. What's your favorite?

Here are some of my top trends!

Combat: You know those military boots that lace up that may seem daring to some? No need to fear, these boots beg to be styled 101 ways, but my favorite is with skinny jeans, a floral tank, and cozy cardigan. Welcome to the combat boot's amazing-ness that creates a edgy style.

Cowboy: Honestly, you don't need to know how to lasso a cow to rock these shoes. I know I don't and I'm definitely making these apart of my closet. Cowboy boots are an amazing asset to boho style, put them with a maxi skirt, A-DOR-A-BLE...or at least in my opinion...

Riding: Amazing, tall, beautiful, no, I'm not talking about a supermodel, I'm talking about riding boots. They're classic. Collared shirt+dark skinny jeans+riding boots=an amazing casual preppy look.

Ankle boots: The babies of boots. Some with heels, some without, either way these ankle grazing boots are adorable. So casual too. (:

Over the knee: So tall, so cute, oh my I'm getting excited just thinking about them. They're adorable with big floral blouses, that contrast the sleekness of the boot.

Say goodbye to your sandals and hello to your new best friends. Below is a Michael Kors pair available at Nordstrom!

BABY YOU'RE BOOT-TI-FUL!

It is the BOMB!

Please excuse my corny title, but I believe that every obsession of mine deserves a title that is extremely witty.

Anyways, at the moment I'm obsessing over leather jackets. They're one of the biggest staples in fashion. More particularly, I'm obsessing over leather bomber jackets with shearling. Do you see how cute they are?! Black leather jackets are a staple, but with this trend, I feel like brown is trendier and cuter.

Throw this leather jacket over a frilly lace frock, or a tulle skirt for a girly-meets-edgy vibe that I adore. Don't even get me started over the boho look you can create by throwing it over a maxi dress & pairing it with feather earrings...

-dead-

And doesn't this jacket look uber cosy too? One of my must haves for fall! The one I included below is only $68! It's from Nordstroms too!

So what do YOU think about this obsession of mine. Is it the bomb? (:

iShop

Before I go to sleep, I want to share with you probably the best app I have ever gotten.

What is the magical app you ask? What wonderful piece of technology is so amazing that I am taking the time to post about it as one of my obsessions?

HauteLook.

It's amazing. It's even more amazing because it's free. Honestly, I would pay for it too. This app gives you FANTASTIC deals on clothes, jewelry, shoes, makeup, etc. And when I say fantastic deals, I mean everything is legitimately like 60% off or more! For example, one day there was this deal for 139 dollar earrings for 32 dollars....Are you dying? I'm dying...By signing up (it took me like two seconds) with the company, when you download the app, you get access to all of these amazing deals. The best part is that it's not just a one deal a day thing, there are a bunch of amazing deals DAILY!

Have you downloaded it yet?

Seeing Spots...

Hi, my name is Rachel and I have a serious obsession with leopard print...
Leopard.
Courtesy of Polyvore

I blog this to you like I'm an addict, but honestly, I am addicted to leopard print (I have my own unofficial official leopard days every couple weeks). There. I admit it. Why wouldn't I be? There is something so glam about leopard that no other other animal print can truly compare to in my opinion. Yes, zebra, snakeskin, and faux-croc are also very trendy, but to me, they don't compare to glam level that is known as leopard.

For me, leopard has this certain aura to it. I feel like if you add leopard to any outfit, it can make it seem so much more glamourous and classy. Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist/designer and one of my fashion idols says, "I think every woman should have leopard, but not every woman will wear leopard. You have to have courage to wear leopard." I believe she is so true in that comment. Have you ever seen any one in leopard that didn't look confident? No one that is looking to be on the sidelines for the night would put on leopard; leopard honestly can make you feel sexy. It's oh-so-very glam.

Leopard to me is also sooooooo pin-up. Whenever I think about the type of woman that is the epitome of this look, I always imagine the same thing: that bombshell girl with the corsetted leopard dress, red lips, and 40s hair...can you see it?

I included some of the cutest leopard pieces I could find above (links below), and I hope you love them as much as I do. My favorite? That leopard rabbit fur vest... I'm seriously considering finding a faux version online (save the bunnies!)...what can I say? I was having a Rachel Zoe Project marathon & now I'm obsessed with fur vests and saying, "I die." I also loved those leopard wedges. Leopard pumps are a staple that should be in every woman's closet, but these wedges are uber trendy & I'm dying to just splurge and buy a pair. I would also LOVE to have those sunnies...or that pencil skirt...or those rain boots...you know what? I would love to own it all.

So take a trip on the wild side, and look purrrrfect! (Sorry, I really felt the need to make that sentence super corny). A little leopard goes a long way, so if you're a little hesitant about wearing leopard, start with smaller pieces like bracelets, shoes, or a scarf...and when you're feeling like being the glam-a-zon you are, break out that leopard mini dress & show them spots girl!

Always remeber, just like double denim, one leopard piece is all an outfit can handle, unless you want to show up on next weeks episode of Fashion Police as a streetwalker.

It's an obsession really.

xoxo. Rachel ♥

"I don't do fashion, I am fashion." -Coco Chanel

Bon jour! Oh, how my french teacher would be so proud if she read that...

Welcome to my blog, Obessions of the Obsessed (I felt that needed to be bolded, don't you?), the place where I will share my obessions with this little wonderful thing called fashion. Excited?-you should be. I obsess over anything that is cute...and well, I find a LOT of things to be considered "cute", so I apologize in advance for me quintessentially having a heart attack over a piece of clothing. Bible (I feel so Kardashian saying this) I will burst out in a happy dance from looking at cute shoes...I know, I know, I'm weird. (:

Since this is my first ever post, I'd like to take the time to share a little bit of information about myself.
Ahoy, my name is Rachel. Yes, I did just say "ahoy" like I'm a pirate, but I feel like "hi" is used too much with this sort of thing.  Anyways, I'm from the US & I'm 15 years old. My favorite color is pink and/or anything with glitter. Seriously. I consider myself to be the self-appointed ambassador-wait no scratch that-glambassador of glitter. I love shopping and fashion, as if that wasn't a given, and I love playing tennis. As overdone as this sounds, I have always loved fashion. I was the girl who would play dress up with real clothes and try to walk in my Mom's heels. Years have passed, and I'm still that same girl, just will more expensive taste (I truly believe I will be broke when I'm older due to my shopping habits). Fashion has been apart of my entire life; my bitty-baby doll always had the cutest clothes and I was obsessed with fashion forward barbie dolls and polly pockets growing up. I used to play dress-up games online for hours...okay, maybe I still do... and I would not click the "end game" button until I absolutely loved the outfit...what can I say? I'm commited.  My first ever sewing machine was a small hot-pink plastic barbie model and I made the pillow I'm leaning against now and my absolute favorite blanket when I was in third grade. I still sew today, granted on a more grown-up machine, but that excitement from finishing a project still feels the same.

My first ever real fashion magazine!
Another important thing to know about me is my obsession with fashion magazines. As crazy as it may seem, I consider the  hundreds of glossy pages that make me giddy like a kid on Christmas morning my 'babies'. I have a serious problem, I'm certain that if there was ever a fire in my house I would save my magazines...maybe not the safest desicion, but the descision I would make. I will NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT throw them away, despite my mother & father's pleas. I realized I wanted a job in fashion when I first got my real fashion magazine in April 2010...Teen Vogue-the Miley Cyrus edition which I read from cover to cover. From there, my obsession bloomed and amost two years later, I am the proud owner of a very large stack magazines, ranging from the ultimate teen bible, Seventeen, to the epitome of fashion, Vogue. I honestly can not part with them like my parents want me to, not even rip out the pages I want to keep and throw the rest away, because I would be pretty much keeping the entire magazine still. In my dream life, I will have an amazing job working for one of these magazine I obsess over or as a celebrity stylist, with a small apartment in New York City with an amazing view, filled book shelves upon bookshelves that will house my magazines. Some may say it's excessive, I say it's a dream come true.

To conclude, I would like to thank each and every one of you who have taken the time to read my blog. It honestly means the world to me. I'm just a girl living in a small town, with big city dreams.

I leave you with this... "Fashion's fade, style is enternal."-YSL

It's an obsession really.

xoxo. Rachel ♥

No joke, these are all my babies. (:
