Bon jour! Oh, how my french teacher would be so proud if she read that...
Welcome to my blog,
Obessions of the Obsessed (I felt that needed to be bolded, don't you?), the place where I will share my obessions with this little wonderful thing called fashion. Excited?-you should be. I obsess over anything that is cute...and well, I find a LOT of things to be considered "cute", so I apologize in advance for me quintessentially having a heart attack over a piece of clothing. Bible (I feel so Kardashian saying this) I will burst out in a happy dance from looking at cute shoes...I know, I know, I'm weird. (:
Since this is my first ever post, I'd like to take the time to share a little bit of information about myself.
Ahoy, my name is Rachel. Yes, I did just say "ahoy" like I'm a pirate, but I feel like "hi" is used too much with this sort of thing. Anyways, I'm from the US & I'm 15 years old. My favorite color is pink and/or anything with glitter. Seriously. I consider myself to be the self-appointed ambassador-wait no scratch that-
glambassador of glitter. I love shopping and fashion, as if that wasn't a given, and I love playing tennis. As overdone as this sounds, I have always loved fashion. I was the girl who would play dress up with real clothes and try to walk in my Mom's heels. Years have passed, and I'm still that same girl, just will more expensive taste (I truly believe I will be broke when I'm older due to my shopping habits). Fashion has been apart of my entire life; my bitty-baby doll always had the cutest clothes and I was
obsessed with fashion forward barbie dolls and polly pockets growing up. I used to play dress-up games online for hours...okay, maybe I still do... and I would not click the "end game" button until I absolutely loved the outfit...what can I say? I'm commited. My first ever sewing machine was a small hot-pink plastic barbie model and I made the pillow I'm leaning against now and my absolute favorite blanket when I was in third grade. I still sew today, granted on a more grown-up machine, but that excitement from finishing a project still feels the same.

| My first ever real fashion magazine! |
Another important thing to know about me is my obsession with fashion magazines. As crazy as it may seem, I consider the hundreds of glossy pages that make me giddy like a kid on Christmas morning my 'babies'. I have a serious problem, I'm certain that if there was ever a fire in my house I would save my magazines...maybe not the safest desicion, but the descision I would make. I will NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT throw them away, despite my mother & father's pleas. I realized I wanted a job in fashion when I first got my
real fashion magazine in April 2010...Teen Vogue-the Miley Cyrus edition which I read from cover to cover. From there, my obsession bloomed and amost two years later, I am the proud owner of a very large stack magazines, ranging from the ultimate teen bible, Seventeen, to the epitome of fashion, Vogue. I honestly can not part with them like my parents want me to, not even rip out the pages I want to keep and throw the rest away, because I would be pretty much keeping the entire magazine still. In my dream life, I will have an amazing job working for one of these magazine I obsess over or as a celebrity stylist, with a small apartment in New York City with an amazing view, filled book shelves upon bookshelves that will house my magazines. Some may say it's excessive, I say it's a dream come true.
To conclude, I would like to thank each and every one of you who have taken the time to read my blog. It honestly means the world to me. I'm just a girl living in a small town, with big city dreams.
I leave you with this... "Fashion's fade, style is enternal."-YSL
It's an obsession really.
xoxo. Rachel ♥
